Axicon Auto ID is a world leader in barcode verification, having developed and
manufactured their verifiers since 1989. Axicon barcode verifiers are used
across the globe and are fully compliant with the international ISO/IEC
standards for both linear and matrix barcodes as well as GS1 Pallet Labeling
standards. These verifiers are used to measure the quality of printed barcodes,
on all levels of product packaging. Axicon has been involved in the creation and updating of international standards for identification and barcoding since the beginning. Their staff have contributed to the work of GS1, as well GS1’s Barcode Technology Group and the development of the GS1 General Specifications.

New to Axicon? Here’s what you need to know:

The Leader in Barcode Verification
All Axicon verifiers are designed to be usable on the factory floor, or in a QA office, and are robust and lightweight. They require only a USB connection to a laptop or computer, so they are portable. Their software ensures that they measure and grade the barcodes using the correct aperture size automatically, and all results may be saved automatically to meet any business requirements.
As well as providing full reports in accordance with the ISO/IEC standards for barcode print quality, the software has plugin options that will check the data content for sector-specific applications. The software for all the verifiers is updated on a regular basis, with releases to ensure that they are always compliant with the latest application specifications from GS1, HIBCC, and other organisations. All Axicon verifiers come in a carry case with a user guide and a calibration card. Software updates are provided free of charge.

A Verifier for Each Label Type
Axicon produces a variety of verifiers because they know when it comes to data integrity, one size does not fit all. From the smaller Axicon 6100-S, ideal for retail environments scanning UPC codes, to larger models such as the 7100-S, ideal for boxes and GS1 labels, Axicon has your use case covered. Even specialty 2D barcodes, such as QR codes, Datamatrix or etched metal (DPM) codes, can be read when using the Axicon 15000 series.

eCert
Physically returning your verifiers each year to ensure they still adhere to ISO/IEC standards can be difficult. Luckily, Axicon offers eCert. eCert is a remote checking and re-certification program for all Axicon verifiers. Your devices will be tested on a set of specialty produced conformance cards, a new calibration card, and you will be given instructions about how to upload the results. Once Axicon reviews and approves the results, your devices are certified.
